Karim Adeyemi has produced one of the most spectacular attempts you could possibly imagine during Barcelona’s clash with Levante, recreating the spirit of René Higuita’s legendary scorpion kick in a moment that instantly looked destined to explode across social media. 😱🤯
🦂🔥 ADEYEMI CHANNELS HIS INNER HIGUITA
With Barcelona pushing forward, a powerful shot was unleashed toward goal, only for the ball to smash against a Levante defender and suddenly change direction.
The deflection sent the ball flying toward Adeyemi.
Most players would probably try to control it.
Adeyemi clearly had a completely different idea. 😭🔥
The German forward launched himself into the air and attempted an outrageous scorpion-style bicycle kick, throwing his entire body behind the ball in an attempt that looked more like something from a football video game than a La Liga match. 🎮😱
🤯 ONE OF THE CRAZIEST MISSED GOALS YOU’LL EVER SEE
Adeyemi connected with the ball with incredible athleticism, but the spectacular attempt failed to find the back of the net.
And somehow, that almost makes the moment even more memorable.
It was not a goal.
But it was absolutely a moment.
The kind of attempt that makes an entire stadium react at once and sends football fans rushing to social media to replay it again and again. 🔥📱
🇨🇴🦂 THE HIGUITA CONNECTION
The outrageous move immediately brought back memories of Colombian goalkeeper René Higuita and his iconic scorpion kick, one of the most famous pieces of skill ever performed on a football pitch.
Higuita’s legendary technique became part of football folklore, and decades later, Adeyemi produced his own spectacular interpretation of the move.
Different player.
Different situation.
Same unbelievable athleticism. 😮💨🔥
🚨 ADEYEMI IS ALREADY BRINGING CHAOS TO BARÇA
Since arriving at Barcelona, Adeyemi has quickly shown why so much excitement surrounds him.
His explosive pace, fearless style and willingness to attempt the unexpected give Barça another attacking weapon capable of producing moments of pure madness.
And this attempt perfectly captured his personality on the pitch.
No fear.
No hesitation.
Just FULL SEND. 😂🔥
😱 THE GOAL THAT NEVER WAS… BUT EVERYONE WILL REMEMBER!
Sometimes the most unforgettable football moments aren’t goals.
Sometimes it’s the attempt.
Adeyemi’s outrageous scorpion bicycle kick had everything: a deflection, incredible athleticism, perfect timing and a finish that would have gone straight into football history if it had found the net. 🦂⚽️🔥
He missed.
But honestly…
WHO CARES? THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY INSANE! 🤯🔥🔵🔴
