Aissa Mandi experienced one of the strangest moments of his La Liga career against Barcelona, producing a sequence that went from controversial to completely disastrous in just seconds. 😳🔥
The Algerian defender was involved in a bizarre incident involving Lamine Yamal that ultimately handed Barcelona a huge opportunity and left commentator Issam Chaouali struggling to believe what he had witnessed. 😭🫣
⚡️ IT ALL STARTED WITH LAMINE YAMAL
Barcelona were attacking when Lamine Yamal found himself in a dangerous position.
Mandi tried desperately to stop the young Barça superstar from progressing, but instead of ending the danger cleanly, the situation quickly turned into chaos. 😱
The defender appeared to stop the ball with his hand right in front of Yamal.
Yet incredibly, the referee initially allowed play to continue.
For a moment, Mandi looked like he had somehow escaped punishment. 👀
But that relief lasted only a few seconds.
🤯 THEN CAME THE SECOND SHOCK!
In an unbelievably strange turn of events, Mandi became involved in another action almost immediately.
This time, the referee had no hesitation.
The whistle went.
PENALTY TO BARCELONA! 🚨⚽️
What had looked like a potential escape suddenly became a nightmare for the Levante defender.
Mandi went from appearing to have survived the first incident to watching Barcelona receive a golden opportunity from the spot.
😱 CHAOUALI COULDN’T BELIEVE IT
The incident also produced an emotional reaction from famous commentator Issam Chaouali.
His reaction captured just how bizarre the entire sequence was.
There was disbelief, frustration and almost complete silence as the reality of what had happened began to sink in. 🫣😭
For viewers watching the match, it was one of those football moments where you immediately ask:
“HOW DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?” 🤯
🔥 LAMINE YAMAL AGAIN AT THE CENTRE OF THE DRAMA
Once again, Barcelona’s teenage superstar found himself at the heart of a match-changing moment.
Yamal’s ability to create problems for defenders is already well known, but this time his presence helped trigger a sequence that Mandi will certainly want to forget.
One moment of pressure.
One desperate defensive decision.
One bizarre chain of events.
And suddenly Barcelona had a penalty. 🔵🔴🔥
💔 A NIGHTMARE FOR MANDI, A HUGE BOOST FOR BARÇA
Football can be incredibly cruel.
Mandi was simply trying to stop Barcelona’s attack, but the situation spiralled out of control and ultimately contributed to Levante’s downfall.
For Barça, however, it was another opportunity to punish an opponent’s mistake and keep their momentum going.
And for everyone watching, it was simply one of the strangest penalty incidents of the match. 😱🔥
Sometimes football doesn’t need a complicated script.
The game writes the craziest stories itself. 😂⚽️
