Manchester United supporters have made their frustration impossible to ignore, with Old Trafford becoming the stage for a powerful protest against the club’s current treatment of its most loyal match-going fans. 😳🔥

A huge banner was displayed in the Stretford End carrying a brutally simple message:

“THE WAY YOU TREAT US IS A DISGRACE.” 😡

The protest came after United announced sanctions against hundreds of season-ticket accounts following an investigation into ticket touting. The club said 685 accounts were banned, while another 464 supporters received reduced sanctions or final warnings.

But many supporters believe the club’s approach has gone too far.

The Red Army chose to remove its traditional Stretford End flag display for the Manchester derby and replace it with the giant banner, making sure the message was impossible for the club’s hierarchy to miss.

And this wasn’t simply a small group making noise.

Hundreds of supporters also gathered outside Old Trafford before the derby, protesting against the club’s ownership and its handling of the ticketing crackdown. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazer family were among those facing the anger of supporters.

The timing made the protest even more powerful.

Inside the stadium, United were preparing for one of the biggest fixtures of the season. Outside, supporters were effectively telling the people running the club that their patience is running out. 🔥

For many fans, this isn’t only about tickets.

It is about respect, communication and the relationship between the club and the people who have supported it for generations. ❤️‍🔥

And after United subsequently lost the derby 1–0 to 10-man Manchester City, the atmosphere became even more painful.

United had a numerical advantage for most of the match but failed to capitalise, while Erling Haaland scored the decisive goal in controversial circumstances. The refereeing body later admitted there had been an “error of judgment” in the VAR decision that allowed the goal to stand.

So, while Michael Carrick and his players were dealing with questions on the pitch, the club’s hierarchy was already facing anger from the stands. 😰

The message from the supporters could hardly be clearer:

They want to feel valued again. They want their voices heard. And they want Manchester United to remember that the fans are not simply customers. 🔴

Old Trafford has always been more than a stadium.

For generations of supporters, it has been home.

And now those supporters are telling the people in charge: listen to us. 🗣️🔴🔥
