The transfer market has gone absolutely crazy! 🤯💸 If you build a starting XI based purely on current player valuations, the result is a squad packed with some of the biggest stars in world football.
And there’s one name sitting right at the top of the money mountain… 👑🔵🔴
🇪🇸 Lamine Yamal continues to dominate the valuation conversation. The Barcelona superstar is currently valued at around €292 million by Football Benchmark, while other valuation models have also placed him at unprecedented levels.
🔥 THE MOST EXPENSIVE XI
🧤 GK: Lucas Chevalier
🛡️ RB: Achraf Hakimi
🛡️ CB: Pau Cubarsí
🛡️ CB: William Saliba
🛡️ LB: Nuno Mendes
⚙️ CM: Pedri
⚙️ CM: Vitinha
🎨 AM: Jude Bellingham
⚡ RW: Lamine Yamal
🎯 ST: Erling Haaland
💨 LW: Kylian Mbappé
Just look at that attack! 😭🔥
Yamal 🇪🇸 + Haaland 🇳🇴 + Mbappé 🇫🇷
That front three alone would give defenders nightmares. One brings outrageous creativity, one brings terrifying finishing, and the other combines explosive pace with elite goal-scoring ability. 🤯⚽
Yamal and Haaland were jointly valued at €200 million in Transfermarkt’s end-of-2025/26 update, with Mbappé at €180 million. Pedri was valued at €150 million.
But valuations have continued moving rapidly. By October 2026, Yamal had reached extraordinary heights across different valuation models, while Mbappé and Haaland remained among football’s most valuable stars.
And then you look at the midfield… 😮💨🔥
Pedri. Vitinha. Bellingham.
Technical brilliance, control, creativity, athleticism and goals all packed into one midfield. 🧠⚡
At the back, Cubarsí, Saliba, Hakimi and Nuno Mendes bring a mixture of youth, speed, physicality and technical quality.
💰 This isn’t simply an expensive team.
It’s a lineup representing the new generation of football superstars, with young players commanding valuations that would have sounded unbelievable a few years ago.
And that brings us to the BIG question… 👀
🌍 Is this genuinely the strongest XI in world football, position by position?
Or are there players who are less expensive but better on the pitch? 🤔🔥
Because football isn’t decided by market value… it’s decided on the pitch. ⚽👑
