Barcelona have entered the 2026/27 season with a squad that looks increasingly like a perfect mix of youthful brilliance, experienced leaders and exciting new signings. 💙❤️🔥 Under Hansi Flick, the Blaugrana are not simply looking to compete again, they are chasing another dominant domestic campaign and, most importantly, European glory. 🏆🌍
The squad was officially settled after the summer transfer window, with Barça confirming their 2026/27 shirt numbers. There are plenty of changes, but the heart of the team remains familiar.
And of course, one name continues to attract enormous attention: Lamine Yamal. 🤯⭐
The teenage superstar enters another season wearing the iconic No. 10 shirt, carrying enormous expectations on his shoulders. His combination of creativity, dribbling, confidence and end product has made him one of the most exciting players in world football. 🔥👑
But Barça are far from being a one-man show.
Raphinha remains one of the team’s biggest attacking weapons and has been handed the captain’s armband for the new campaign, making history as Barcelona’s first Brazilian permanent captain. 🫡🇧🇷🔵🔴 Pedri continues to provide the magic in midfield, while Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Fermín López and Marc Bernal give Flick plenty of technical quality and different tactical options.
And then comes the new generation of additions. 👀🔥
Gabriel Jesus, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and Rodrigo have all added fresh attacking and midfield options, while Rodri brings a huge dose of experience, control and leadership to the middle of the pitch. His arrival has generated massive excitement among Barça supporters. ⭐
The official presentation of the squad at Spotify Camp Nou underlined just how much anticipation surrounds this team. New arrivals such as Gordon, Adeyemi, Rodrigo and Rodri received a huge welcome, with Rodri reportedly receiving one of the loudest ovations of the presentation. 🏟️🔥
The defence also has plenty to prove. Pau Cubarsí, Jules Koundé, Eric García, Alejandro Balde, João Cancelo and Andreas Christensen give Flick a mixture of youth, experience and versatility. 🧱💪
And there is already evidence that Barça can be dangerous. They opened their La Liga campaign with a 2–0 victory over Athletic Club, with Raphinha and Fermín López finding the net. Lamine Yamal, Pedri and the rest of the attacking unit were also involved as Flick’s side began the campaign with three points.
Even more interesting is the leadership structure. Raphinha and Pedri were selected as the top two captains, while Eric García, Frenkie de Jong and Lamine Yamal complete the five-man leadership group. The inclusion of Yamal is another indication of how important the youngster has already become inside the Barça project. 🫣👑
This Barça squad has pace, creativity, experience, youth and serious attacking firepower. ⚡🔥
The big question now is whether Flick can turn all that talent into another La Liga triumph and finally push Barcelona all the way in Europe. 🏆🌍
With Yamal wearing No. 10, Raphinha wearing the captain’s armband, Pedri controlling the midfield and exciting new faces arriving at Camp Nou…
Barça fans have every reason to be excited. 😮💨💙❤️
