João Félix could be heading back to Barcelona in 2027, and this time, the story could be very different. 👀🇵🇹

The Portuguese forward has reportedly made it clear that Barcelona remains his preferred destination for a return to European football, despite currently enjoying a strong spell with Al Nassr. Recent reports say Félix is happy in Saudi Arabia for now, but his long-term ambition is to return to Europe and compete in the Champions League again.

And there is an important detail behind the rumours: Félix’s Al Nassr contract is due to expire in June 2027. That could potentially make a Barcelona return much easier financially if no extension is agreed.

🔥 THE BARÇA CONNECTION NEVER REALLY DISAPPEARED

Félix already experienced life at Camp Nou during the 2023/24 season, when he joined Barcelona on loan from Atlético Madrid. He produced 10 goals and 6 assists in 44 official appearances, showing flashes of the creativity and technical quality that made Barcelona interested in him in the first place.

Now, several years later, Félix appears to have rediscovered his confidence.

His first season at Al Nassr was particularly impressive, with reports recording 26 goals and 18 assists across 47 matches in 2025/26. He has also started the 2026/27 campaign strongly, with four goals and three assists in his first eight matches according to current statistical records.

That is a completely different Félix from the player whose future looked uncertain after difficult spells at Atlético Madrid, Chelsea and AC Milan. 😮‍💨🔥

🇵🇹 FÉLIX STILL DREAMS OF BARÇA

The biggest twist is that this isn’t simply a random transfer rumour.

Félix has openly spoken about his affection for Barcelona, explaining that playing for the club was something he dreamed about as a child. He has also recently praised Lamine Yamal, adding another interesting layer to the possibility of a future reunion with the Catalan giants.

However, a return is not guaranteed.

Reports suggest Barcelona would only seriously consider the opportunity if there is room in their attacking department, meaning an existing attacker could have to leave before Félix’s return becomes realistic.

And that is where the story becomes juicy. 👀🔥

Imagine João Félix walking back into Barcelona in 2027, older, more experienced, more confident and potentially available without a major transfer fee.

The first spell was promising but unfinished.

A second spell could be Félix’s chance to finally prove that the Barcelona dream wasn’t a mistake. 🔵🔴✨

2023: João Félix arrives on loan.

2027: Could João Félix return for one final Barça chapter? 👀

The question is no longer whether Félix loves Barcelona.

The question is whether Barcelona will want him back. 🏟️🔥
