Liverpool’s new era under Andoni Iraola is beginning to take shape, and while the Reds are still a work in progress, several players have wasted absolutely no time announcing themselves. 💥🔴
According to the latest This Is Anfield fan ratings, three players have separated themselves from the pack: Jérémy Jacquet, Cody Gakpo and Ronald Araújo. And there is plenty to argue about when it comes to the order! 👀📊
🇫🇷 1️⃣ JÉRÉMY JACQUET – THE NEW DEFENSIVE STAR? 🧱🔥
The young French defender is currently sitting at the top of Liverpool’s fan ratings with an adjusted score of 6.93/10.
Jacquet’s start has been seriously impressive. His numbers underline just how dominant he has been in defensive situations, winning 29 duels while losing only nine, alongside eight interceptions, six tackles won and 51 progressive passes. 😮💨💪
Even more impressive, supporters voted him Liverpool’s Player of the Match in the 1-0 victory over Bournemouth, another clean-sheet performance that showed why excitement around the youngster is growing rapidly.
From scoring on his Anfield debut against Como to becoming a regular presence alongside Virgil van Dijk, Jacquet has gone from new signing to one of the most talked-about defenders at Anfield in no time. 🚀🔴
🇳🇱 2️⃣ CODY GAKPO – THE ATTACKING MACHINE ⚡🎯
Gakpo continues to prove that he can be one of Liverpool’s most dangerous attacking weapons.
The Dutchman currently sits second in the fan ratings, while FotMob has him leading Liverpool’s Premier League ratings with 7.69, ahead of Jacquet on 7.67. 👀📈
He has already delivered important moments, including being voted Player of the Match against Newcastle after scoring Liverpool’s first goal in the 2-2 draw. 🔥
And against Bournemouth, Gakpo again made the difference, doing the hard work down the flank before delivering the low cross that allowed Alexander Isak to score the winner. 🎯⚽
🇺🇾 3️⃣ RONALD ARAÚJO – THE WARRIOR AT THE BACK 💪🔥
What a start to life at Liverpool for Araújo!
The Barcelona loanee has shown that he can operate effectively both centrally and at right-back, bringing power, aggression and aerial dominance to Iraola’s defence.
He was voted Liverpool’s Player of the Match against Atlético Madrid after producing an excellent performance at right-back and providing the crucial flicked assist for Dominik Szoboszlai’s equaliser. 🅰️🔥
His defensive numbers are just as eye-catching, with 26 duels won from 39, including 18 aerial duels, according to Squawka. 💪🏽🧱
📊 THE CURRENT FAN-RATING TOP THREE
🥇 Jérémy Jacquet – 6.93
🥈 Cody Gakpo – 6.80
🥉 Ronald Araújo – 6.68
But here’s where things get spicy… 👀🔥
FotMob currently has Gakpo first, Jacquet second and Araújo ninth among Liverpool players in Premier League ratings. So depending on the rating system, there is already a completely different argument for who deserves the crown. 📊😳
Liverpool have plenty of stars, but these three have certainly given supporters something to talk about.
