Liverpool have reportedly joined Chelsea in the growing race to sign Nottingham Forest defensive powerhouse Murillo, with the Brazilian centre-back emerging as one of the most wanted defenders ahead of the 2027 summer transfer window. 🇧🇷🧱
The 24-year-old has continued to impress in the Premier League since arriving at Forest from Corinthians, quickly establishing himself as one of the club’s most important players. His combination of physical strength, aggressive defending, composure on the ball and ability to progress play has made him a very attractive option for several elite clubs. 🔥💪
And now the competition is getting serious…
🔴 Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Murillo as they consider their long-term options at centre-back. With defensive planning becoming increasingly important at Anfield, the Brazilian could fit the profile of a younger, Premier League-proven defender capable of becoming a major figure for years to come. 👀
🔵 Chelsea are also long-term admirers of the defender and could make a serious move if Forest eventually decide to listen to offers.
🔴 Manchester United, meanwhile, have already identified Murillo as a potential target as Michael Carrick looks to overhaul his defence in 2027. Reports suggest United could need to make a huge financial commitment to convince Forest to sell. 💰😮💨
But there is one massive obstacle for everyone…
🚫 Nottingham Forest DO NOT want to sell Murillo in January.
Forest have little reason to rush into a deal because Murillo signed a new long-term contract in May 2026, keeping him at the City Ground until 2030. That puts the club firmly in control of negotiations and allows them to demand a premium if any of the interested giants come knocking.
Forest are reportedly prepared to demand “huge” or even “silly” money before considering his departure. 💷💷💷
That means Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United could be heading for a serious transfer showdown next summer. 🔥🔥🔥
Murillo has already made over 100 appearances for Forest, and his Premier League experience, age and development potential make him exactly the kind of defender top clubs could fight over.
👀 Liverpool vs Chelsea vs Manchester United… who gets Murillo?
The race has only just started, but one thing is becoming clear: Forest are not going to make this easy, and whoever wants Murillo will have to pay BIG. 💰🧱🔥
