Manchester United may have to make some ruthless decisions if Michael Carrick is going to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level. 🔴🔥
With the season already exposing weaknesses across the team, the pressure is growing for United to improve the squad rather than simply adding more players. Recent reports have highlighted the need for reinforcements at left-back and striker, while the club also has to carefully manage its finances.
And that brings us to the big question…
🚨 WHICH TWO PLAYERS SHOULD UNITED SELL?
United cannot keep collecting players without creating space for new arrivals. A serious rebuild requires difficult decisions, and some players may have to be moved on to free up wages, squad places and transfer funds. 💰📤
The left-back situation is particularly interesting. Luke Shaw has been United’s only established senior left-back, while Patrick Dorgu has increasingly been used in an attacking role. United have previously monitored alternatives such as Lewis Hall and Antonee Robinson, showing that the position remains an area of concern.
The striker position is another major talking point. United need greater reliability in front of goal, especially if Carrick wants to take the team to another level. The current squad simply cannot afford to waste opportunities while depending on the same attacking options week after week. 🎯⚽
At the same time, competition for places is becoming fierce. The return of Amad Diallo and Carlos Baleba, along with the potential return of other key players, gives Carrick more options and could make certain squad members increasingly vulnerable to losing their places.
And then there is the financial side. United have already invested heavily in rebuilding midfield, with Baleba joining a group that includes other recent additions. The club therefore has to be smart about future spending rather than simply throwing money at every problem.
🔥 SELL TWO. REINVEST SMARTLY. STRENGTHEN THE WEAK AREAS.
That could be the formula.
If two players were put on the transfer list tomorrow, who should Manchester United sell? 👀🔴
