⏰ 5:30 PM WAT 🇳🇬
This is more than just another league fixture. United are looking to turn home advantage into three crucial points, while Tottenham arrive knowing that their difficult start has left them under enormous pressure. United currently sit 12th after five matches, while Spurs are still searching for their first league victory.
👑 BRUNO FERNANDES vs SPURS
Manchester United will once again look toward their captain for inspiration. Bruno has already been among United’s key attacking figures this season, and his creativity, leadership and ability to produce decisive moments could be vital in a game where the smallest mistake could change everything.
But there is a major twist. Bruno has been carrying a fitness concern during the international break, meaning United fans will be watching the team news very closely. 😰🔴
🧱 MICKY VAN DE VEN: THE SPURS WALL
Tottenham could also have their own defensive headache. Van de Ven picked up a wrist problem while on international duty, although there is optimism that the Spurs captain could recover in time for the Old Trafford battle.
And that makes his potential duel with United’s forwards even more interesting. ⚔️🔥
💥 UNITED HAVE THE HOME ADVANTAGE
Old Trafford has already witnessed United defeat Tottenham 2–0 in their most recent meeting at the stadium, with Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes finding the net.
But Spurs have also caused United plenty of problems in recent meetings, so nobody can afford to become complacent.
With injuries, pressure, form and bragging rights all involved, this could become an explosive 90 minutes. 💣🔥
The international break is over.
The Theatre of Dreams is calling.
And both teams know exactly what is at stake. 👀
