Barcelona have received some very encouraging injury news ahead of their important encounter against Atlético Madrid, with Eric García and Andreas Christensen both returning to group training.
The two defenders have rejoined their teammates on the training pitch, marking a significant step forward in their recovery and giving Hansi Flick more options as he prepares for the upcoming showdown.
Eric García’s return is particularly important because of his versatility. The Spanish defender can operate as a centre-back or defensive midfielder, offering Flick tactical flexibility and valuable depth across different positions.
Christensen’s availability would also be a welcome development. The Danish international brings composure, experience, positional awareness and excellent passing ability to Barcelona’s defensive line.
With Atlético Madrid expected to provide a difficult test, having more defensive options available could prove extremely valuable.
However, returning to group training does not automatically mean both players are ready to start. Their fitness and match readiness will still need to be assessed by the medical and coaching staff.
