Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has finally shared his thoughts on Atlético Madrid striker Julián Álvarez amid growing speculation linking the Argentine forward with a potential move to the Catalan giants.
Speaking about the World Cup winner, Flick did not hide his admiration for his quality, describing him as a fantastic footballer. However, the German tactician was careful not to fuel rumours surrounding Barcelona’s reported interest.

“For me, Julián Álvarez is a fantastic player, but he plays for Atlético Madrid. What I need to do is focus on my team.”
A respectful response from Flick, who clearly recognises Álvarez’s outstanding qualities but understands that he currently belongs to a direct La Liga rival.
Álvarez is admired for his work rate, intelligent movement, pressing ability, technical quality and eye for goal. These are exactly the kind of qualities that could make him an interesting attacking option for Barcelona.
With questions surrounding Barcelona’s long-term attacking plans, the Argentine’s name is certainly one that will attract attention from supporters.
However, Flick has made his position clear: his priority is the players currently at his disposal, not transfer rumours.
