Enzo Maresca Sends Clear Message to Raheem Sterling Over Chelsea Future

Enzo Maresca has made it clear that Raheem Sterling has no future at Chelsea.

Sterling, 30, spent last season on loan at Arsenal but failed to make a significant impact under Mikel Arteta. The winger held talks over a summer move to Fulham, yet remained at Stamford Bridge after negotiations collapsed.

Despite being registered in Chelsea’s Premier League squad, Sterling has been training separately from the first team since pre-season. The same applies to Axel Disasi and David Datro Fofana, who have also been frozen out of Maresca’s plans.

“First of all, they are Chelsea players and have contracts with the club, but at this moment they are still training apart,” Maresca said. “Since the start of the season, I haven’t seen them. I did see Renato Veiga, but they train on a different pitch at a different time.”

Asked if there was any way back for Sterling, Disasi, or Fofana, Maresca was firm in his response: “No.”
