Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman could potentially replace Mo Salah at Liverpool.

Reports indicate that both Liverpool and Arsenal have engaged in discussions regarding a possible summer transfer for the player. Other clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester United, and Juventus are also reportedly interested in Lookman, who could be available for around €60-65 million.

The 27-year-old Nigerian international has been in excellent form this season, contributing 21 goals and assists, making him an attractive option for many clubs. Having previously played for Everton, Leicester, and Fulham, Lookman is well accustomed to the physical demands of Premier League football and would be eager to showcase his talents upon a return.

Liverpool, currently focused on their ongoing season, are reportedly considering reinforcements for their attack, especially with the uncertainty surrounding Mo Salah’s contract, as well as injury concerns with Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa. The future of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz has also been questioned, making the acquisition of an attacking player a potential priority.

On the other hand, Arsenal may also be in the market for an additional winger to relieve some pressure from Bukayo Saka, especially as manager Mikel Arteta has sometimes relied less on Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli. A new addition could further strengthen their squad.

Despite Lookman’s mixed past performances in the Premier League, his impressive form at Atalanta suggests that he may have matured as a player, providing optimism for his potential success at either club. However, his age and the price tag could be factors to consider, as his move to Anfield might come with risks.
