Barcelona’s reported interest in a potential player-exchange deal involving Piero Hincapié and Alejandro Balde is unlikely to develop into reality, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Arsenal have absolutely no intention of allowing Hincapié to leave the Emirates, with Mikel Arteta considering the Ecuadorian defender an important part of his project. The Gunners are not looking to sacrifice one of their defensive assets, making a swap deal with Barcelona extremely difficult.
However, the situation surrounding Alejandro Balde is worth watching. The Spanish left-back could reportedly consider leaving Barcelona if his circumstances at the club do not improve.
Balde remains a talented defender with enormous potential, but uncertainty surrounding his role and future could open the door to a possible departure.
🔴⚪ Arsenal want to keep Hincapié.
🔵🔴 Barcelona could face a difficult situation with Balde.
❌ A direct swap deal is considered unlikely.
The big question is whether Barcelona would seriously consider selling Balde if an attractive offer arrives. Losing him could create another major headache for Hansi Flick!
